Our Academic Programs

Academic Rigor

SRL graduates have been accepted into prestigious institutions, such as Philadelphia Biblical University and Puritan Theological Seminary. Birmingham Theology Seminary and other ARTS-affiliated seminaries accept SRL transfers. A post-graduate study program now exists between SRL and Westminster Theological Seminary .

Training Gospel Ministers

At Seminario Reformado Latinoamericano (SRL), our academic programs are shaped by a singular vision: to train gospel ministers who will faithfully proclaim the Word of God and lead Christ’s church throughout South America. Grounded in historic Reformed theology, each program is designed to equip students with a deep understanding of Scripture, sound doctrine, and pastoral wisdom for the challenges facing the Latin American church today.

Recognizing the diversity of theological convictions within the Reformed tradition, SRL offers two optional doctrinal emphases: the James Montgomery Boice Presbyterian School and the Charles Spurgeon Reformed Baptist School. These tracks allow students to pursue their studies with clarity and conviction while fostering a spirit of unity and mutual respect among all who hold to the core truths of the Reformation.

Doctrinal Emphases

As part of SRL’s commitment to both theological depth and ecclesial unity, students have the opportunity to pursue one of two doctrinal emphases based on their convictions: the James Montgomery Boice Presbyterian School or the Charles Spurgeon Reformed Baptist School. These tracks allow students to explore key distinctions—particularly in ecclesiology and certain systematic theology courses—within the broader Reformed tradition.

Regardless of which emphasis a student chooses, all SRL students receive a comprehensive and unified theological education, grounded in the authority of Scripture and the essential doctrines of the Reformation. There is no pressure to select one path over another; rather, this structure exists to honor the sincere convictions of our students while fostering mutual respect and unity within the Body of Christ.

SRL Presencial (Residential Program)

This full-time, on-campus program provides an immersive theological education for students called to pastoral ministry. Intensive coursework, community life, and direct mentorship by seasoned Reformed pastors and theologians prepare students for a lifetime of gospel service.

In strategic cities across South America, SRL partners with local churches to host 6–8 intensive, week-long courses each year. These programs bring high-quality theological training to students who are actively involved in ministry and church leadership.

Our online programs allow students throughout South America to pursue complete theological degrees while remaining active in their local contexts. Courses are taught by Spanish-speaking professors, and all instruction is delivered through interactive platforms with professional video content.

For believers not seeking formal degrees but desiring to grow in biblical knowledge, SRL Educa offers self-paced courses on theology, Scripture, and Christian living—equipping lay leaders and church members alike for faithful service in the church.

These regional gatherings present the truths of Reformed theology to pastors, leaders, and congregants across South America. Through powerful teaching and fellowship, participants are encouraged to reform their churches according to the Word of God.

SRL produces and distributes a wide range of Spanish-language teaching through YouTube, podcasts, and other digital platforms. These resources strengthen the broader church by making sound theology accessible to pastors and believers across South America.
